If You Are Falling Behind In Life…Read This
Time is ticking.
Friends are marrying.
Life is moving.
And you, yes you are feeling.
Feeling behind in life.
If you are anyone like me, you have felt your life is not where you thought it would be by this age. You haven’t done this yet. You haven’t achieved this yet. You haven’t experienced this yet. You haven’t figured this out yet.
It is normal to feel this way when we live in a society where success is more important than satisfaction. Where appearance is more important than authenticity. Where productivity is more important than peace. Where competition is more important than compassion.
At the same time...
It’s okay to take detours.
It’s okay to be a work in progress.
It’s okay to bloom at your own pace.
It’s okay to not have it all figured out right now.
It’s okay to move at your own pace but it’s not okay to not take ownership of your life. Here are some pointers to align yourself with your life.
Society’s Checklist vs. Yours
Society will keep telling you what success should look like if you don’t know what success is for you. And you will always keep falling short because you are not in alignment with your true self. You have to decide what boxes you want to check. And most importantly why do you want to check them?
Release any desires that are not yours.
Release your need to fulfill the expectations of others.
Release the pressure to live up to societal standards of success.
It’s time for you to pause, to reflect, and to redefine your success. I get it this will take time but hey what’s the rush?
Own Your Pace
Timing is everything, but it’s also nothing.
New York is 3 hours ahead of California, but that doesn’t make California slow.
Someone graduated at the age of 22 but waited 5 years before securing a good job.
Someone became a CEO at 25 and died at 50. While another became a CEO at 50 and lived to 90 years.
Someone is still single, while someone else got married.
Obama retired at 55 & Trump started at 70.

You see the point right? There is no right way to live life but there’s one wrong way to life which is to think there is a right way. Honestly, there are no timelines. There are no expectations. There just you and your life.
Affirmation to try:
“I am on my own unique timeline, and that’s perfectly okay.” Seriously, say it out loud. It’s surprisingly therapeutic.
Plot twists
You know, life has this funny way of surprising us. Just when you think you’ve got it all figured out — your identity, your desires — it throws you a curve ball. It messes with your so-called “timeline,” derailing you in unexpected ways.
I have come to see these setbacks as stories, stories that I get to share with the world.
All you can do here is simply trust the process. Trust that the universe is orchestrating bigger and better things for you.
And lastly, if all this feels overwhelming to you, remember this:
You are not falling behind in life, you are figuring out what truly matters to you.
You are not falling behind in life, you are building a foundation for future success.
You are not falling behind in life, you are mastering patience for greater things.
You are not falling behind in life, you are running your own race at your own pace.
You are not falling behind in life, you are experiencing life.
You are not falling behind in life, you are falling into life.
That’s it for today. Thank you for taking the time to read, it means a lot to me.
